Information for New families at Stepping Stones

What to bring to Stepping Stones...
• Spare nappies- Stepping Stones only keep a few disposables for emergencies. If your child needs changing please bring spare nappies to fit your child. Stepping Stones staff will change your child's nappy only if you are not in the building (eg. the Preparation for School Group).
• Feeding bottle or cup if your child has a favourite one and the only one he/she will drink from. However, whenever possible Stepping Stones will encourage your child to drink from a cup or use a straw. Please note that Stepping Stones staff are not able to administer feeds by NG tube or gastrostomy.
• Anything special which your child may need e.g. glasses, hearing aids etc.

Please note that Stepping Stones cannot be held responsible for your personal belongings.

Please do Please don't
Tick the register which is in the foyer when you arrive and cross through your tick when you leave. This is very important for fire safety reasons. Wear best clothes yourself or put your child in anything which cannot be washed. The main playroom often has lots of paint and glue around, and we would hate to spoil any clothes.
Bring a change of clothing. Dress your child in suitable clothing for floor play. Attend if you, your child or brothers or sisters are unwell, to minimise the risk of passing on illnesses.
Help the staff by taking your child to and from the different rooms when asked Attend with brothers or sisters if they are on inset days. We are not insured to accommodate older children.
Ring the project if you are unable to attend as your place may need to be offered to another child after three absences.
